About me

I wear two different hats, a professional hat as an art lawyer and a business hat, as an art business owner.

As an art lawyer, I specialise in transactions and spend most of my time advising and assisting in high value art sales transactions.

Art Business Experience

I have over 20 years experience of the art market. I come from a long line of art dealers (I am from a third generation art dealing family background.) I have worked at art fairs, on gallery stands and at gallery events since my youth.

  • From 2011-2013 I went back to my art roots and had the great experience of managing my family’s art publishing company called Hali Publications. I was a director for two years and helped oversee a structural change and development of a new direction, with new service offerings.
  • Since 2013 I have run a fine art brokerage called Vitruvian Arts Consultancy Limited, through which we help clients buy and sell high value art and other assets. I also developed a corporate art service called VEDO which is a JV with a gallery called Gallery Different in London W1.

Through the arts consultancy we work with many artists and represent a few as their agent and understand the very difficult business of selling art. Since 2013 I have helped organise several exhibitions and events for artists. (Please see my events page on Vitruvianartsconsultancy.com)

I feel I have come full circle and am proud to have gone back to my art roots. The business of art is in my blood and I now have two dream jobs as an art lawyer and as an art business consultant, both jobs bring highly beneficial knowledge and experience to the other and I believe have helped improve my skill-set in both areas.
